Manzi Nemeye, the Unguka Bank official, said that the bank has managed to secure over 500 motorbikes which cost over 300 million Rwandan francs, and have been distributed to motorists in five districts countrywide.

Manzi said that the motorbikes are loaned without the beneficiary necessarily providing any kind of guarantee, since each of the members is backed by the association. He also revealed that the bank will provide similar support to all Rwandans who come together in cooperatives and associations.

The chairman of cooperative Intambwe, Jean Chrisostome Habimana stated that the motorbikes will be a source of income and taxes for the members and government respectively.
